I. Introduction

Placeholder Chapter

This chapter is intentionally a scaffold. We’ll add the full content next. For now, this page exists so the chapter order and navigation are correct.

Goal: help students answer two questions quickly: Where do I find sources? and How do I decide if a source is credible and useful?

II. What Counts as a Source

Placeholder: primary vs secondary sources, scholarly vs popular, databases vs open web, and what your assignment expects.

III. Evaluating Credibility

Placeholder: quick credibility checks (author, evidence, date, publication context, bias/agenda), plus “when it’s okay to use a non-scholarly source.”

IV. Practice

Placeholder: a short source triage activity (keep / maybe / no) + a mini annotated bibliography starter.
